Hi, i’m Erin…
Yay, it’s you! I’m so happy you’re here. Truly, like over the moon! I have a feeling we’re going to be great friends. But in order for that to happen, I should probably get onto telling you a bit about myself.
Where are you even supposed to start?! I guess I’ll start with who I am. I’m a 27 year old wife and mom to one wild 4 year old, Juniper Lee, and a sweet boy, Oakley Bear, who’s with Jesus. My husband, Josh, and I got married in 2017 and immediately started dreaming. That’s one thing I love about us–we dream up things that feel way out of reach and then often find ourselves waiting on and trusting God with the process. With that said, we are currently dreaming of and waiting on having a large homestead with lots of land, gardens, animals and kids. Right now we live on less than a quarter acre right outside of a small northwest Ohio town. It doesn’t have much space to offer but over the past 7 years we’ve learned a lot about getting creative, making due and gaining whatever skills and knowledge we can where God has us. Though we have 3 chickens (Monica, Phoebe and Sally. Yes, Sally because I had to let June name one lol), most of our homestead consists of garden beds and the plants that fill them. Being the black thumb of the family, I have learned SO much about gardening and caring for plants. I’m so thankful Josh pushed me to learn more about this hobby of his because it grew something new in my heart– a liking for cooking and a love for herbalism. I have become so passionate about using plants for our mind and bodies’ benefit.
This leads us to why I’m writing this and hopefully why you’re here. To learn how to grow your garden well, fuel and care for your body well through what you’ve grown, and then hopefully pass these skills and knowledge to your kids. Throughout this blog you will find encouragement, knowledge and skills, how-to guides and printable resources to help teach your littles about what you have learned yourself. My whole heart behind this blog is to bring moms together and arm them knowledge that will serve them in their everyday lives! So, here’s to you and me and all the messy learning we’ll do together!
Cheers, my friend, until next time.
Erin
